The book covers her early years as a book designer at several university presses, her life in the household of William Addison and Mabel Dwiggins, the joint publishing venture between Abbe and Dwiggins, as well as her self-taught venture into portrait and landscape photography, and the publication of her two important texts: The Dwiggins Marionettes and Stenciled Ornaments.
